From Our Workbench to Your Hands
Return & Refund Policy
At [Joyeeviolins], we want you to be perfectly matched with your instrument. We understand that choosing a violin is a personal journey that requires trust and time. That is why we offer a 30-Day Trial Period to ensure your new instrument is the right fit for your musical expression.
1. 30-Day Trial Period
You have 30 calendar days from the date of delivery to test your instrument in your own home or studio. If you are not completely satisfied, you may initiate a return within this window.
-
How to Start: Please contact our support team at [joyeeviolins@163.com] to receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and detailed packing instructions.
2. Condition of the Instrument (Strict Requirement)
To be eligible for a refund, the instrument must be returned in "As-New" condition.
-
Wear & Tear: There must be no scratches, nicks, varnish damage, or excessive rosin buildup on the body or fingerboard.
-
Accessories: All original accessories (bows, cases, shoulder rests, rosin, etc.) and original packaging materials must be included.
-
Inspection: Every return undergoes a professional inspection by our luthiers upon arrival. If the instrument is damaged or shows signs of wear, a diminished refund or repair fee will be applied.
3. Shipping Costs & Responsibility
As a cross-border boutique, we strive to keep our prices fair. For international returns, the following shipping rules apply:
-
Change of Mind / Subjective Preference:
-
If you are returning the instrument simply because you "do not like it," "don't like the tone," or "changed your mind," the customer is responsible for both the original shipping cost and the return shipping cost.
-
Even if your order was shipped with "Free Shipping," the actual shipping cost incurred by us to send the instrument to you will be deducted from your final refund.
-
-
Customs & Duties: Any import duties, VAT, or brokerage fees paid to your local government are non-refundable. If a return shipment incurs import taxes back to our warehouse, these will also be deducted from the refund.
4. Special Notice for South America (Brazil, Argentina, etc.)
Due to the high cost of logistics and strict customs in South America:
-
Refusal of Delivery: If a package is returned because the customer refused to pay local customs duties or failed to provide a valid Tax ID (CPF/CNPJ/CUIT), all round-trip shipping fees and carrier penalties will be deducted from the refund. In some cases, if return costs exceed the item value, no refund can be issued.
5. Damaged or Defective Items
If your violin arrives with structural damage or a manufacturing defect:
-
You must report the issue within 48 hours of delivery with photo/video evidence.
-
We will provide a prepaid return label and offer a full refund or a free replacement.
6. The "Fallen Soundpost" Policy
During long-distance international transit, vibrations may occasionally cause the soundpost to fall.
-
Note: A fallen soundpost is a common occurrence in the violin world and is not considered structural damage or a defect.
-
Resolution: Instead of a costly international return, we recommend having a local luthier reset it. We will offer a partial refund based on the actual repair cost.
7. Refund Processing
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days via your original payment method.
