Description

The Crown Jewel of Cremona: The 1649 "Alard" The 1649 "Alard" is arguably the most celebrated masterpiece by Nicolaus Amati, the legendary teacher of Stradivari. Our Joyee Intermediate replica captures the essence of his famous "Grand Pattern". By utilizing slightly wider proportions than standard Amati models, this violin achieves a miraculous balance: it retains the intimate, silvery sweetness Amati is famous for, while delivering a surprisingly rich and resonant lower register.

The Joyee 1649 "Alard" Experience:

  • The Golden-Era Sweetness: The "Alard" is famous for its silky, flute-like highs and a mid-range that is exceptionally vocal. It possesses a "human" quality to its voice, allowing advancing players to express the most delicate emotional nuances.

  • The Grand Pattern Power: Thanks to the wider body design, this replica offers remarkable depth and projection without requiring a heavy bow arm. It responds effortlessly, making it a joy to play during long practice sessions or chamber music performances.

The Art of Selection: Unique ID vs. Luthier‘s Selection

At Joyee Violins, we believe a fine instrument is as individual as the musician who plays it. To help you find your perfect match, we offer two ways to select your instrument:

1. Unique Stock IDs (#11888, etc.) The photos in the gallery labeled with a specific Stock ID represent the exact instrument you see. When you select a numbered ID, you are claiming that specific wood grain, varnish shading, and character. What you see is exactly what will be professionally set up and shipped to your door.

2. Luthier’s Selection If you prefer to trust the expert eye of our master makers, choose "Luthier’s  Selection." > * How it works: Our luthier will personally hand-pick an instrument from our current unlisted vault that meets the highest tonal and aesthetic standards of this specific model.

About the maker

  • Disen Tim has over two decades of experience in violin making. He applies traditional European techniques throughout his work, combining classical methods with his own thoughtful approach developed from a young age.

FAQ

Will the violin arrive ready to play, or do I need to take it to a local shop?

Your violin will arrive professionally set up and ready to play. We have fits the Aubert bridge, adjusts the soundpost, and smooths the fingerboard before shipping. To protect the instrument during international transit, we slightly loosen the strings. Once you receive it, simply apply rosin to the bow, tune the strings up to pitch, and you are ready to make beautiful music!

Is it safe to ship a wooden instrument internationally? What if it gets damaged?

Absolutely. We have years of experience shipping delicate instruments globally. Your violin is securely packed inside its premium suspension case, which isolates it from shocks. We then use heavy-duty, climate-resistant packaging for the outer box. Furthermore, every shipment is 100% fully insured. In the rare event of transit damage, we will replace the instrument immediately at no extra cost to you.

Can I see the exact wood grain before I buy?

Yes! Because every Joyee violin is handcrafted, the flamed maple patterns and nuanced tonal colors vary slightly. We encourage you to contact us at [Email/WhatsApp]. We would be thrilled to send you high-resolution photos of our current stock, so you can personally select the exact violin your like.

What if I receive the violin and the tone isn't the right fit for me?

Choosing a violin is a very personal journey. We offer a [30-Day] In-Home Trial for all our instruments. If the voice of the violin doesn't match your playing style, simply contact us within this period. You can return it in its original condition for a refund (minus shipping costs) or exchange it for a different model.
